Embark on an unforgettable desert adventure with our guided camel trek through the mesmerizing Erg Chebbi dunes of Morocco. On your first evening, enjoy a 90-minute camel ride to our remote desert camp, where you'll savor Moroccan mint tea, dine on local cuisine by a campfire (seasonal), and immerse yourself in Berber music under the stars. Climb the dunes for a celestial view before resting. The next day starts with a sunrise spectacle, followed by a visit to a nomadic village to engage with local families and savor Berber pizza. After exploring the dunes further, relish another night of desert tranquility before returning to Merzouga village.

First night: Begin your adventure in the late afternoon, with one of the trusty camels maintained by our company. These camels are fed and watered locally and will be great companions for you during your desert trek. You will meet your camel guide and travel to the remote desert camps, crossing the picturesque Erg Chebbi dunes famous to Morocco. You will have the opportunity to take many beautiful pictures from atop your camels, and you will see the sunset from the middle of the dunes. Your camel ride will last approximately 60 minutes, and you will arrive at our camp, welcomed with a delicious glass of Moroccan mint tea. Relax for a few minutes before dinner, and enjoy the accommodations we have set up in this remote location. We will eat dinner together, light a fire (September-May tours only), and enjoy traditional Berber music with drums and singing. Join in if you’d like! Before bed, climb the dunes to see the stars like you’ve never seen them before, and feel the stillness and quiet of the desert as you drift off to sleep. Second day and night: In the morning, wake up to see the beautiful sunrise before breakfast. Spend some additional time on the dunes, taking pictures and soaking in the atmosphere before we embark on our journey for the day. We will visit the nomads who have established their homes behind the Erg Chebbi dunes, and in a short ride, you will arrive at their village. Meet with these local families to learn more about their ways of life, and share a meal of delicious Berber pizza (bread stuffed with meat, spices, and vegetables and cooked in a traditional coal fire). We will return to the camp via car in the late afternoon, and you will have another opportunity to explore the dunes and sandboard or hike around the area. Enjoy another traditional dinner, and spend your second night under the intense stars of the desert. We will ride the camels back to Merzouga village in the morning, enjoying the sunrise over the dunes.
