Overnight desert camp in merzouga
Begin your adventure in the late afternoon, with one of the trusty dromedaries maintained by our company. These dromedaries are fed and watered locally and will be great companions for you during your desert trek. You will meet your camel guide and travel to the remote desert camps, crossing the picturesque Erg Chebbi dunes famous to Morocco. You will have the opportunity to take many beautiful pictures from atop your dromedaries, and you will see the sunset from the middle of the dunes. Your camel ride will last approximately 90 minutes, and you will arrive at our camp, welcomed with a delicious glass of Moroccan mint tea. Relax for a few minutes before dinner, and enjoy the accommodations we have set up in this remote location. We will eat dinner together, light a fire (winter tours only), and enjoy traditional Berber music with drums and singing. Join in if you’d like! Before bed, climb the dunes to see the stars like you’ve never seen them before, and feel the stillness and quiet of the desert as you drift off to sleep. In the morning, wake up to see the magnificent sunrise over the dunes before riding your camel back to the village.

Trip Itinerary
The journey will take you from Merzouga to the desert camp beyond the Erg Chebbi dunes. You will ride your camel across the Erg Chebbi with your tour guide, admiring the grandeur of the dunes and the sunset. Morocco Sahara Desert Tours provide a once-in-a-lifetime desert adventure.
Around 4:30 PM - Start your camel tour
Start your camel ride in the late afternoon and head to the camp across the dunes. You will have the chance to see the dunes and see the sunset from the middle of the desert dunes.
Arrive to camp after sunset - Dinner - Campfire & Music
At the desert camp, you will be greeted with green tea and given your private desert tent. Dinner will be given, followed by music and a bonfire.
Wake up for Sunrise - Breakfast - Return to Merzouga
We will wake you up early to see the sunrise over the dunes and enjoy the morning breeze. After that, you will have breakfast at the camp and ready to ride camels or drive back to Merzouga.
